THIS IS AN OPEN EDITION ( 3 currently available—more may be available in the future including in other sizes/colors) Gia Carangi was a model who tragically had a short career that, much like a shooting star, flamed out because of drugs and AIDS in the early 1980s. An enormous cult following has developed for Gia, perhaps because of the book by Stephen Fried, "Thing Of Beauty—The Tragedy of Supermodel Gia" or the movie starring Angelina Jolie as Gia. This photo is from a shoot for Vogue in (July) 1978. I believe this was Gia's first booking for Vogue—done in happier times. If you have an interest in adding quality fashion photographs to your fine art print collection, this print may represent an excellent addition at a price substantially less than similar fashion photos. The image size is 8.2X12 inches and is printed on 11x17 inch Hahnemühle paper using archival pigments. The print is a museum quality print made by the photographer Stan Malinowski and signed in pencil (recto).
