Hello and welcome to my work. I have loved painting as long as I can remember - especially painting in oils. I started painting at a very young age and have been working as an artist my whole life. After Graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1985, I worked as a free-lance illustrator in NYC for 15 years. I created artwork for Snapple, Seagram's, Coca-Cola, Bath & Body Works, Colgate-Palmolive among others through some of the leading design agencies in New York City. I also sold my fine art through Gallery Revel on Spring Street. I currently live in North Carolina where I continue the pursuit of doing what I love to do - paint and create! My style has changed over the years as I believe art should always be progressing and evolving as the world does. Also, the ability to work in many styles and techniques has led to my success over the years as an illustrator. My work is moving towards abstraction however, breaking away from the constraints of commercial art and design. It allows me to reflect on the world while discovering truths from within. My mind is never fully realized as it is when I am painting. I don't want to push my agenda on anyone or tell them what to think, and abstract art allows the viewer to approach the piece and discover their own revelations. Painting is a means of catharsis for me and has helped me through difficult times. It is important to me that the viewer finds their own narrative as it speaks specifically to him/her. It's all about freedom of thought, freedom of discovery and freedom of expression.
