Susan Leggitt

Inspired by the beautiful coast of Maine, my work reflects a deep connection to the water, especially to salt marshes. The forms created by tidal streams cutting through the grasses, provide an endless array of imagery. I can paint the same scene over and over and each time it will be different.

The play of light and color, warmth and coolness, depth and atmosphere — all play a role in each painting.
