Artist Statement:
Phill Foley is an artist who lives on the west coast of Ireland and is fascinated by images of nature and landscape. Foley specializes in drawing with graphite and charcoal and has exhibited at venues across Ireland since 2014. In particular Foley's work focuses on floods and movement of water, a phenomenon that appears annually in western Ireland as storms and intense weather batter the land. Foley works with this subject through large scale drawings that set out to capture the movement and motion inherent to the surging deluges.
