Irena Chmura

Irena is a London-based figurative and portrait painter. She works mainly from photographs supported often by short sessions from life and sketches. Using photo reference allows her to work slower and focus on detail. She wants her paintings to be as close to life as possible; capturing at the same time intimacy and vulnerability of the subject.
