Elizabeth A. Yarosz-Ash is a nationally recognized and award-winning artist, teacher and juror. She has shown in over 340 exhibitions and and has received over 85 exhibition awards, of which 19 are Best of Show awards.
Yarosz-Ash, whose work has been reproduced in Splash I & II, American Artist, Watercolor, Artist’s Magazine, ArtLies and Dialogue, has taught at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX since 1981. In 1991 she was selected for the university’s Hardin Professor Award, and has been a full professor since 1992.
She has been jurying exhibitions since 1981, including the top three national watermedia exhibitions – the 1993 Watercolor U.S.A. Exhibition, the 1995 Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition and juror of awards for the 2002 National Watercolor Society Exhibition.
From 2002 – 2004, Ms. Yarosz-Ash served as President of the Watercolor U.S.A. Honor Society. In 2011, Yarosz-Ash was selected as a finalist for the Hunting Art Prize, a prestigious annual $50,000 award competition open to Texas artists. She has been selected as a Fulbright Specialist and will serve through 2018. Her work is in corporate, institutional and private collections.
