Artist Statement:
For me, art is a means of communications. It is how I express my thoughts, hopes, regrets and joys. Painting is for me another way of expressing my feelings. Although I often gain great pleasure from the process of painting, it is most important to unfold expressively those feelings within myself. My work uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which exists independently of visual references to the world. In my work I always emphasize on the color as a significant and unifying element. The color helps me create a world that's at once eerie and alluring, a world that exists only in one's imagination. What people like most in my paintings are the colors. My art doesn't speak to the intellect but to the soul and to the feelings.
Professional/Teaching Experience:
After I finished my college I took part in the restoration intervention on inner mural paintings at the site of the historical monument of Saint Nicolae- Poputi Church (15th century), Botosani - Romania, The Memorial Houses of Vasile Pogor, Iasi - Romania (18th Century), and at the UNESCO site of the historical monument of the Moldovita Church, Neamt - Romania (16th century).
Artistic Influences:
Van Gogh, Jackson Pollack and Pointillism (George Seurat)
